- Blue Eyes
- Green Eyes
- Hazel Eyes
- Brown Eyes
If you have Blue eyes, your best bet for color will be neutrals, browns and golds. These are going to enhance and brighten the blue color. I also recommend brown or brown/black eyeliner as well since pure black can sometimes look too harsh against blue eyes.
For Green eyes, opt for purple and pinks… they will bring out a blue/green in green eyes and mesmerize anyone looking into them! Also purple, aqua and black eyeliners will intensify the look. Green eyes are also best to handle an intense smoky eye since they are dark enough to not look harsh against darker colored shadows but light enough to give a dark smokey eye some brightness. So start playing around with different colors to personalize your own smokey eye!
If you have Hazel eyes consider yourself a one size fits all! Most colors are going to mesh well with your greenish brown and golden eyes. I would stick with smokey plums and gold to really brighten them up but have fun and play around with different colors to see what meshes best with your skintone. If you opt for blue shadows, keep them in the navy blue range instead of baby/pastel blues.
For Brown eyes, blue eyeshadows are going to be best. You can range the color of blue from navy to royal just keep it contained on the eye for enhancement, don’t smother the entire lid from eyelashes to eyebrows with dramatic blue eyeshadow otherwise someone may send you back to the 70’s. Keep it simple; even a liquid blue eyeliner worn solo on the eyes will give it enough pop. Brown eyes are already intense so all you need is a little pick me up to brighten them!
Enjoy!
